 "Predators" a new book by Greg Cooper and Mike King, joined by Tom McHoes will be released to all major bookstores and online in the spring of 2007. This newest book examines criminals and their crimes and applies profiling principles to teach the reader how to minimize their risk of victimization. The Institute of Investigative Science provides police and corrections officials with specialized training and offers consulting, criminal investigative analysis and expert witness services in the investigation of crime scene analysis, criminal behavior and profiling of serial offenders. The Institute conducts research and provides insight and investigative protocols to all areas of law enforcement. The Institute founders and instructors, and their unique techniques have received media attention from all around the world.

The mission of the Institute is three-fold:
1) to provide research results and training to law enforcement (police and corrections officers) worldwide in the area of criminal investigative analysis, crime scene analysis and behavioral assessment of serial killers, serial rapists and other repeat offenders;
2) through consultation, offer investigative strategies and suggestions in difficult unsolved crimes where police seek a more thorough understanding of offender behavior appears beneficial, and;
3) provide consultation, closure and understanding to police, lawyers and the general public in unsolved or questionable events.
In 2006, the Institute of Investigative Science welcomes Dr. Timothy McDonough and Dr. Bruce Tefft, international terrorism experts to its ranks. IOIS was founded in 2001 by Gregory M. Cooper and Michael R. King. In 2002-2003, Chris McDonough and Dr. Harold Bursztajn joined IOIS.
