Dr. Timothy McDonough, McDonough Heritage Group
Dr. Timothy McDonough is a political economist with widely recognized scholarly expertise in Middle Eastern politics, history and culture. He lived and worked in Asia, Europe and the Middle East for more than 15 years and is the author of the forthcoming book length treatment on jihad inspired terrorism titled, "Saracens at the Gates", a treatise on the motivating ideology of terrorists that draws on his many years of direct experience with the people and institutions in the region. Dr. McDonough is the founding Director of the privately funded political and economic policy think tank, McDonough Heritage Group, based in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. McDonough spent 20 years in the commercial airline industry, beginning with a technical career as a cockpit design engineer and rounding out his stint in aviation as a senior economic analyst at the American Airlines headquarters in Dallas-Fort Worth. Dr. McDonough pioneered a unique mathematical method for modeling spatial diffusion of technology that has direct application to terrorism incident prediction.

Timothy McDonough has his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, a Master's in Economics from the University of North Texas and Doctor of Philosophy in Political Economy from the University of Texas at Dallas.
